Symptoms are patterns, not a single label.
“Prostatitis” can describe several conditions. Pelvic pain, urinary changes, fever, discomfort with ejaculation and recurring symptoms do not all point to the same cause. Clean Systems turns the topic into a practical map: what the categories mean, what to record, what deserves prompt care and what questions belong in a consultation.
One word, four recognised categories.
Clinical evaluation matters because bacterial prostatitis and chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome can require very different approaches. The purpose of this map is to improve questions—not to self-diagnose.
T01Acute bacterial prostatitis
Can begin quickly and may involve fever, chills, painful urination, pelvic pain or difficulty passing urine. This pattern can require prompt treatment.
T02Chronic bacterial prostatitis
May be associated with recurrent urinary infection and symptoms that return or persist. Antibiotic choice and duration belong with a clinician.
T03Chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome
Pelvic pain or discomfort can persist without a proven bacterial infection. Management may involve several approaches rather than one universal treatment.
T04Asymptomatic inflammatory prostatitis
Inflammation may sometimes be identified during testing for another reason even when a person has no prostatitis symptoms.

Track what changes. Do not turn habits into a treatment promise.
Movement, stress, sleep, drinks, food and prolonged sitting can be useful context when describing how symptoms behave. They do not prove a cause and they do not replace assessment for infection, urinary retention or other conditions.
Some patterns should not wait for an online explanation.
Seek medical care promptly for acute or severe symptoms.
Examples include inability to urinate, severe pelvic or lower abdominal pain with fever or chills, blood in urine, or rapidly worsening illness. Other conditions can cause these symptoms too; the important point is not to diagnose them from a website.
